The site is served only over HTTPS. Connections use TLS 1.3 or TLS 1.2; TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are switched off. HSTS is enabled, so browsers always use the secure connection. An SSL Labs test on 18 October 2026 rated the site A+.

What we collect now
When you send a contact or booking form, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number and message. They are emailed to our advisory team, used only to reply to you, and never sold.
Analytics
Analytics run only after you click “Accept all”, and they are cookieless.

When you ask Taxerly a question, our server sends it to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model, together with excerpts from our guides and figures from our tax facts table, so that Claude can write the answer. If you ask a follow-up, your earlier questions and answers on the page are sent with it. We don't send your IP address or any account or cookie identifier to Anthropic. Anthropic handles what it receives under its own terms. To limit Taxerly to 5 free questions a day, we set a cookie that holds a random identifier and is sent only to Taxerly, for up to a year, and we keep a one-way hash of your IP address instead of the address itself. Both are used only to count questions. We log each question, with email addresses, phone numbers, bank account numbers and ID numbers masked, so we can see which topics our guides don't cover yet, and each entry is deleted automatically after 90 days. The log doesn't include your IP address or the cookie identifier, but it can include anything else you type, so please leave your name and other personal details out of your questions. The counts and the log are stored in our database. Your browser also keeps your first question until you close the tab, so it can be carried into a free profile later; that copy isn't sent to us. Taxerly doesn't take payments.
