Terms of Service
About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the tax.com.cy platform, operated by [Company Name] ('the Platform', 'we', 'us', 'our'). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms.
These terms were last updated in April 2026. We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and provide at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
What tax.com.cy is — and what it is not
The Platform provides: account and profile management, document storage and sharing, messaging between Clients and Advisors, case management tools, the Taxerly AI general information tool, tax calendars, calculators and reference information.
The Platform does not provide: qualified tax advice, legal advice, financial advice, accounting services or any other regulated professional service. Nothing on the Platform — including content generated by Taxerly AI — constitutes professional advice or creates a client-advisor relationship with tax.com.cy.
When you engage an Advisor through the Platform, your contract for professional services is with that Advisor — not with tax.com.cy. Advisors are independent professionals who operate their own regulated businesses. tax.com.cy is not responsible for the quality, accuracy or timeliness of advice provided by Advisors.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.
Taxerly AI — important limitations
Taxerly AI is provided as a general information tool only. Responses generated by Taxerly do not constitute tax advice, do not create a professional relationship, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any tax decision.
tax.com.cy makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or currency of information provided by Taxerly AI. We expressly disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on Taxerly AI responses.
Document storage and data
When you upload documents to the Platform, you grant tax.com.cy a limited licence to store, process and make available those documents to your Advisor for the purpose of providing their services to you.
You retain ownership of all documents you upload. We do not use your documents for any purpose other than providing the Platform services.
You are responsible for ensuring that documents you upload do not infringe the rights of third parties and comply with applicable law.
Fees and payments
Fees for the Platform subscription (if applicable) are as published on the Platform at the time of subscription.
Fees for professional services provided by Advisors are agreed directly between you and your Advisor. tax.com.cy is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for Advisor fees or disputes about them.
Invoices for Advisor services may be issued by the Advisor's own company through the Platform. Payment of those invoices is a matter between you and the Advisor.
Limitation of liability
tax.com.cy's total liability to you in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the fees paid by you to tax.com.cy in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
tax.com.cy is not liable for: any tax advice or services provided by Advisors; errors in Taxerly AI responses; tax penalties, interest or other amounts arising from reliance on Platform content; loss of data, unauthorised access to accounts, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Intellectual property
The Platform, its design, code and content are owned by [Company Name] or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer any part of the Platform without our written consent.
Content you create on the Platform — including messages, notes and uploaded documents — remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it as necessary to provide the Platform services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
